GST® is based on 5 unique “body techniques” that correlate to the body’s 5 movement systems:
The Spine - Spinocoretilation™
Breath - Oxyllation™
Muscles - Musculoanimorphics™
Bones - Osteotectonics™
Fascia (Connective Tissue) - Dermatraction™
Each technique prescribes specific actions the body must perform when exercising. When these actions are learned and executed during exercise, fundamental relationships between the various systems are altered, permanently changing the body’s functionality, size and shape.
The GST® Movement System is a repertoire of choreographed exercises (distinct from the 5 actions that comprise the GST® Body Technique) that are performed on original, spring-loaded equipment (similar to Pilates equipment).
Combining springs for resistance and bars for leverage, GST® exercises maximize the fullest potential of the body’s range of motion using oppositional effort to build length, strength and alignment.
The exercises are taught through a comprehensive curriculum that makes the technique easy to understand, learn and apply.
GST® Bodywork could be described as a combination of deep tissue massage and Rolfing. GST®’s unique Bone Carving technique is designed to re-educate and rehabilitate the body by rearranging fascia—the connective tissue responsible for attaching muscle to bone and holding the body together. This powerful, three-dimensional material dictates the body’s shape, form and posture and can be manipulated (somewhat like clay) to change the body’s shape and proportions through manual “molding.”
Aggressive and permanent, GST® Bodywork is more effective than other forms of massage at alleviating the tension and imbalances in the fascia, muscles and skeleton that are responsible for pain and physical dysfunction. It also provides sensory feedback that helps people learn the 5 actions of the GST® Body Technique.
